StarragHeckert sales and order growth continues

  • StarragHeckert sales and order growth continues
Swiss headquartered StarragHeckert reports order intake increased to CHF238.5 million (£104 million) in the first nine months 2007; up 61 per cent from CHF 147.7 million (£64 million) in the prior year period.

Sales revenue amounted to CHF170.7 million (£75 million), up 27 per cent from CHF134.5 million (£59 million) in the prior year period.

All markets and regions contributed to the positive order intake. New products introduced in 2006 further supported organic growth. The energy markets in Europe and Asia boosted order intake. A major order amounting to CHF19 million (£8 million) was received in Q3 from a customer in the wind energy industry.

Order backlog nearly doubled as at 30 September 2007, compared to a year earlier, reaching CHF 149.7 million (£65 million).

Actions to increase manufacturing capacities are being rapidly implemented, reports the company. The new assembly plant at the company’s Rorschach, Switzerland location will be commissioned on time by the end of November 2007.
