Siemens unveils online training for unified CNC operator interface

  • Siemens CNC operator training
To help familiarise CNC machine tool operators with its new Sinumerik operate user interface, Siemens has created an online training resource.

With the new interface, Siemens says it has has unified all previous operating philosophies under a single user interface. Not only ShopTurn and ShopMill operators and experienced DIN programmers, but also users who migrate from conventional turning and milling machines can quickly familiarise themselves, says the company. And even a change between the various turning and milling technologies is possible, after a short familiarisation time, it is claimed.

The online resource features small training units to allow users to get acquainted with the interface on their own home computers.
