Hybrid Laser Tech was established in 1988 and uses Coherent Everlase CO2 laser systems to provide precision cutting and scribing of ceramic substrates and precision cutting of thin metals, wood, paper, plastics, acrylics, PCB and PZT. Originally set up to provide a laser cutting service to the Hybrid Micro-Electronics industry, the company has successfully expanded to service major clients in the aerospace, education, medical and telecommunications industries.
Long-term plans are currently being proposed for a further extension to Shearline’s 57,000 sq ft facility in Ely. Once complete, the equipment and staff at the Hybrid Laser Tech operation will take up residence with Shearline in a custom-built production facility.
