Running from 10:00 until 13:00, the workshop will demonstrate how liaising with technology partners like Schunk can improve machine-shop efficiency. With SolidCAM presentations throughout, the event will provide live cutting demonstrations on a Romi D-800 vertical machining centre.
Visitors will have an opportunity to discuss work-holding with Schunk engineers, talk to Quickgrind about cutting tools, Romi UK about machine-tool requirements, CGTech about CNC simulation, Blum Novotest about In-process Inspection, and Parmley Graham about collaborative robots.
On the Romi machine, Schunk will be demonstrating the versatility and flexibility of its Vero-S NSE Plus modules, as these clamping stations for general milling applications will be used as the basis for fast set-up procedures at the event.
Schunk will also be integrating its SPM Plus 138 into machining demonstrations at the workshop. The SPM Plus 138 is said to deliver deformation-free clamping on the entire circumference of difficult-to-hold workpieces up to 125 mm diameter.
