Rofin picks up prestigious award

  • Rofin picks up prestigious award
The Rofin DQ series of lasers manufactured by Rofin-Sinar Laser GmbH were awarded the coveted iF Design Award at the recent CeBIT information technology trade fair in Hanover, Germany.

More than 2,700 products from 35 countries were under consideration for the prestigious award whose recipients are determined by an international jury of experts.

Rofin DQ series lasers, introduced to the market less than a year ago, have opened up new possibilities in the field of industrial surface treatment. The first application was cleaning rail tracks on a moving train, but the laser quickly found new applications in areas such as ablating the metallic coatings of tailored blanks, create edge isolation on solar cells and for processing of flat screens.
