Record orders for ever-expanding Yamazaki Mazak
As Yamazaki Mazak's Worcester plant enter its 20th year of production, it reports record orders for the first half of the year.
Indeed, production has more than doubled in the past three years with this having been boosted with the introduction of new models and a continuing increase in demand for the company’s products across Europe.
Since the plant's establishment more than 15,000 machines have been manufactured at the UK facility - 90 per cent of which have been exported to 30 countries.
“We are proud of the fact that more than 50 per cent of the machines ordered from Yamazaki Mazak by our European customers will be manufactured in Europe,” says Dr David Jack, group managing director for Mazak Europe.
A fourth expansion (pictured) to the factory is currently underway to increase capacity and invest in new manufacturing equipment.
