Re-focused service operation announced by Körber Schleifring

In a strategic move to reinforce its position as a leading supplier of tool grinding solutions, Körber Schleifring UK of Honiley near Kenilworth has announced that machine service and back-up is now an integrated element of its single-source provision of Walter machines and software technologies.

Explaining that the development is a direct result of the recent global re-organisation of its operating divisions by Körber Schleifring, UK sales director Neil Whittingham said the re-focused service activities "will, importantly, further improve our speed of response to UK-based service requests".

The technology area reshuffle by Körber Schleifring has seen its world-leading brands 'merged' into three technology areas (Walter tool grinders and tool measuring machines being twinned with Ewag tool grinders, surface and profile grinding machines are now together, as are all cylindrical grinders) with each division now being headed up by its own management board 'to encourage short chains of decision-making'.
