New Delapena honing machines to see at MACH 2014

Visitors to Delapena's stand at MACH will see the company's new PrecisionHone and SpeedHone machines in action.

The two machines were launched in February and March 2014 respectively, but MACH 2014 will be the first public demonstration of both. The PrecisionHone (E3000S) holds tolerances down to 1 micron, with sub-micron adjustment, and has a honing capacity from 1.14 to 80 mm diameter (subject to application). The EAS SpeedHone is designed for small bores and has a rotation speed range from 250-2500 rpm and Delapena marks this out as being ideal for both toolroom and batch production work. Delapena will also show its CalibreHone (E2000S-XL). This is a long bore precision honing machine designed specifically to hone straight and tapered bores at lengths up to 800 mm. It features an innovative step-back, 'back taper' honing program to produce a controlled taper in the bore over a specified angle and length. Just across the aisle on Stand 5974, the company will have its specialist abrasives and latest oils. Delapena will be in Hall 5 on stands 5878 and 5974
