MecWash to offer Metalas degreasing equipment
British degreasing firm MecWash Systems is now to supply Metalas multi-tank machines into the UK.
The move follows a joint venture with Netherlands-based Metalas Cleaning Systems BV and which will also see the Dutch company market MecWash systems in the Netherlands, German and Belgium markets.
Metalas equipment can typically handle much larger scale components than the MecWash range. Both standard and tailored designs are available within the Metalas range, which can accommodate loads from 500 kg up to 20 tonnes.
Components from large electric motors, aircraft landing gear, wind turbine gearboxes and railway bogeys can thus be cleaned.
Metalas highlights a component cleaning installation with three fluid tanks now operational at Messier-Dowty, a world-leading manufacturer of landing gear systems for commercial and military aircraft. The high levels of cleanliness are provided by a Metalas machine which sees the applied fluids heated and filtered before being kept separate via a unique and reliable system that ensures negligible cross-contamination between the tanks.
