Mate Tooling expands; improves service

  • Mate Tooling expands; improves service
Mate Tooling Solutions has completed its move into a new building in Northampton.

The new premises were officially opened on 23 June. For the future, tooling presentations and grinding demonstrations are planned, along with customer training courses.

The new facility will allow the company to improve its service to customers, with an increase in stock, and faster delivery times. Improved service will also be supported via the installation of a new ‘Direct Order Entry System’ that is linked to its supplier’s production area.

The new building has been designed to reduce energy costs, and the company will be implementing a new ‘environmental procedure’ covering everything from recycling to looking at ways of reducing energy needs and carbon footprint.

To complement the above expansion, a new sales engineer has been taken on to cover the Southern Counties.

Further business expansion is planned for 2009, reports the company.
