Mastercam X4 set to boost productivity

  • Mastercam X4 set to boost productivity
Mastercam X4 (4D Engineering) is about to be launched, and promises to deliver a dramatic boost to productivity.

Improvements are spread across a number of areas and include timesaving tool motion and new, superior finishing to streamlined interfaces plus the ability to continue work while processing toolpaths.

For example, 'Dynamic Mill' is a new 2D high speed toolpath that gives users the ability to utilise the entire flute length of the cutting tool, while maintaining more consistent cutting conditions. This new technique saves cutting time while reducing wear on tooling and machines.

And with 'Toolpath Refinement', users can achieve dramatically superior finishes on complex parts. This new utility gives greater control over the toolpath finish motion, delivering smoother finishes and better optimised cycle times than conventional methods allow.

Several other improvements and additions complete the new release, full detail will be made available in our Product launch section soon.
