Mapra Technik appointed UK agents for Doss visual inspection machines

MAPRA Technik has been appointed the sole UK agent for Doss, of Italy, who produce automatic visual inspection machines.

Doss produce machines designed specifically for the automatic artificial visual inspection of physical features and properties such as dimensions, appearance, shape, composition and quality of parts.

The Doss machines are particularly suited to inspect and sort out, gaskets, O rings and seals (including rubber, silicon, ceramic, Teflon), screws, bolts and other small parts.

The Doss machines can be produced as standard, or customised to specific customer needs, to allow automatic 100 per cent control for physical features, high quality control and reduction of labour costs incurred with manual inspection.

The Doss Lite-D machine is suited to the automatic checking and sorting, of standard elastomer and rigid material parts, up to a 55 mm field of view. The machine consists of two tables and two cameras, with a 'turn over system', which checks the dimensions of the pieces both sides, top and bottom, internally and externally, including roundness. The pieces are loaded in bulk, and separated at the end of the inspection cycle into pass and reject bins.
