MAG receives $12 million aerospace order

  • MAG receives $12 million aerospace order
MAG Industrial Automation Systems has received an order worth more than $12 million for two of its Viper automated fibre placement systems. The German-based customer Premium Aerotech is manufacturing composites for the Airbus A350XWB aircraft.

MAG has already installed its Viper systems at six other European plants in the Airbus supply chain since 2008.

Randy Kappesser, vice president and general manager for MAG Composites Technologies, said MAG opened a composite technology centre last year in Goppingen, Germany. "This materially enhanced our ability to win this order, as well as provide better support to customers in Europe and Asia as we go forward."

MAG is part of a machine tool group created by parent company Maxcor, based in New York.
