A LVD Orion 3015 CO2, laser cutting system, has been purchased by Ford Component Manufacturing, in Monkton.

The laser cutting system will provide Ford the ability to cut up to 16 mm mild steel, 10 mm stainless steel and process aluminum up to 6 mm. The laser cutting will complement the company's existing punching and forming equipment

The laser cutting system is a compact, hybrid-style one able to process sheet sizes up to 3,000 x 1,500 mm. Programmable high-pressure oxide-free laser cutting and automatic cutting gas selection provide consistent accuracy and good productivity from the 2.5 kW laser source.

The LVD Group is a manufacturer of a range of sheet metal and plate working machine tools, including laser cutting systems, punch presses, press brakes and guillotine shears.
