Layton upgrade to extend degreaser life

  • Layton upgrade to extend degreaser life
Layton Technologies is offering an upgrade option for older trichloroethylene degreasing equipment that may allow companies to comply with the latest requirement for the supply of trike.

The new, as of October 2010, industry code means solvent degreasing plants must have a double enclosure to minimise emissions and exposure levels. Consequently solvent suppliers will not be supply to companies who do not meet this requirement.

Many companies will be forced to scrap their equipment.

The Layton upgrade option provides the necessary double enclosure and has a simple internal handling system to transport work baskets from the load station to the degreasing tank, at the same time controlling the door operation to prevent losses and exposure

Layton can provide advice on the viability of its up-grade solution for individual machines, together with costs comparison of other alternatives.

The double enclosure upgrade option sits alongside a range of other solutions from Layton for companies faced with parts cleaning problems especially regarding compliance with regulations or wishing to change to alternative methods of cleaning and cleaning chemicals.
