KASTO buys Missler saws business

  • KASTO buys Missler saws business
German sawing equipment and storage systems' manufacturer KASTO Maschinenbau has bought the sawing machine division of Missler Technologies, France, and taken over service of its bandsaws and circular saws worldwide.

The move follows Missler's decision to cease manufacturing machines and refocus activities on its industrial automation and CADCAM software divisions.

The entire stock of spares has been transferred to KASTO, which has also employed three engineers from Missler's service department.

The UK arm of KASTO in Southampton has already trained one of its six engineers specifically on Missler technology, with additional back-up available from the German parent. The company has assumed responsibility for servicing and providing spares for the 180 Missler machines operating in 128 companies throughout the UK.
