Kaltenbach acquires painting and shotblasting specialist

Sawing and structural steel work machining specialist Kaltenbach has acquired the manufacturing facility and brand of Gietart BV the shotblasting and painting systems company, based in Hengelo, Holland.

This extends Kaltenbach's capability as a systems provider for processing structural steel sections and plate through the addition of Gietart shotblasting and automated painting lines. A new company, Kaltenbach Shotblast and Painting Systems BV, has been created in Holland.

Valentin Kaltenbach, managing director of the new company and CEO of the Kaltenbach Group said: "We have formed a 100 per cent daughter company, trading as Kaltenbach Shotblast and Painting Systems BV under the Gietart brand. There is a proven synergy between Kaltenbach and Gietart technologies, having been independently and successfully integrated for many years within installations worldwide."

Simon Smith, managing director, Kaltenbach Ltd, said: "This excellent opportunity will enable our customers to continue to benefit from Gietart shotblasting and painting products, with seamless ongoing sales, spares and service support."
