Iscar technical seminars promise tooling and more

A series of six technical information days will be held between early October and the beginning of December by tooling specialist, Iscar, at its technical centre and showroom in Birmingham.

The seminars will cover not only the company’s new cutting tools introduced at the EMO machine tool show in Hannover during September, but will also feature presentations by six of the firm’s technical partners – Matsuura (machining centres), Star GB (sliding-head lathes), Renishaw (probing systems), Roemheld (fixturing), Solidcam (programming software) and Balzer (coolants).

Known as Manufacturing Development Programme (MDP) 2007, the objective of the events is to bring visitors up to date with the latest technology on offer from all of these suppliers. People attending will therefore be able to look at wider production processes rather than focussing just on tooling.
