igus celebrates 20 years in the UK

Plastic bearing and cable carrier expert igus UK recently marked its 20th year in the UK. The company celebrated this anniversary at its UK facility in Brackmills, near Northampton.

As one of the first global subsidiaries of the Cologne-based company, igus UK has remained centrally located, both geographically and logistically, in Northamptonshire. Managing Director David Chapman, who was one of four founding members and started his career at igus UK as the first sales engineer, commented: "Over the two decades the UK sales team has grown considerably and been involved with many high-profile projects, including ones in the Royal Opera House and on the London Eye."

The product offering too has grown over that time. Today the igus product range features a staggering 10,000 E-Chain products, 1000+ cable types and 35 standard bearing materials. Design engineers from all industries have embraced upon igus plastic bearing and cable assembly products, from Aerospace and agricultural applications to Wind Power and Woodworking.
