German machine tool maker Heller Maschinenfabrik has set up a Technology Centre in Pune, India, partnering with indigenous firm TAL Manufacturing Solutions.

This Technology Centre, which at launch boasted MCH 280 and H 4000 horizontal machining centres, will offer application engineering, training and other customer services to ensure most productive use of machines, tools and systems.

Heller and TAL have installed a number of manufacturing solutions in India recently at a number of automotive and precision engineering manufacturing companies.

The facility was officially inaugurated by Mr Ravi Kant, vice chairman Tata Motor and chairman of TAL, along with Mr Klaus Winkler, chairman, Heller, Mr Manfred Maier, Heller's managing director, and Mr A P Arya, managing director, TAL.
