Haas Automation Europe announces Peter Zierhut as its new managing director

Haas Automation Europe has announced the appointment of Peter Zierhut as its new managing director. Mr Zierhut (pictured), is one of the founding members of Haas Automation.

He has held a number of senior management positions during his 26-year tenure at the company's head office, including director of the service, sales, marketing and IT departments.

At the end of 2009, Peter Hall announced, to staff and employees of Haas Europe, the end of his busy and successful 7-year run as the company's managing director. He will return immediately to Haas Automation, in Oxnard, California, where he will take up a business-development role.

"Peter Zierhut brings a wealth of experience to HAE. Thanks to all of my friends and colleagues in Zaventem we have achieved a great deal in Europe and Peter is the right man to take the company forward. He is committed to building and supporting HAE's network of Haas Factory Outlets and also to developing the Haas Technical Education Centre programme. I'm sure he will lead the company to even greater success," says Mr. Hall.

Mr. Zierhut's appointment comes as Haas Automation announces its next generation of CNC machine tools, developed over the past few years.
