Guhring showing range of tooling solutions at MACH 2010

  • Guhring showing range of tooling solutions at MACH 2010
Guhring is showing a diverse range of tooling on stand 5141 at MACH 2010, including taps, cutters, drills, end mills and reamers.

Among the tapping solutions on display are: Guhrings Expanded Threading Tool Program that allows efficient thread production in steel, cast iron and aluminium; Short Chamfer Lead (Form E) Taps that fully utilise the depth of tapping size holes, via a short chamfer; high rigidity Metric EG Taps; titanium-nickel taps for the production of threads in special alloys, requiring close tolerances and rigidity in highly demanding applications, such as in the aerospace industry; synchronous and universal taps for a large range of different materials.

Guhring's new generation of solid carbide thread milling cutters utilise an optimised geometry that includes a facet point grind.

Displayed drill solutions include: Solid Carbide micro-precision drills up to 3 mm diameter and for drilling depths up to 15xD with internal cooling; Spiral-fluted deep hole drills RT 100 T for the machining of steel for drilling depths up to 40xD; Spiral-fluted deep hole drills RT 100 T ALU for holes up to 30xD in aluminium and RT 100 VA Guhring Ratio Drills for stainless, special alloys and titanium.

Reamers on show include: carbide Guhring HT500 Alu Reamers with straight fluted design and extremely unequal flute spacing provides a reamer to machine aluminium at feed rates higher than PCD levels; the HR 500 high-performance reamers and solid carbide NC reamers.

At MACH 2010 a new catalogue will be launched featuring the complete RF100 milling program, with the RF100 VA 'Stainless specialist' of particular interest.

A comprehensive program of Hollfelder-Guhring tools covering micro adjustable precision ground insert tools for milling, fineboring, drill and chamfering along with turning, are also on display.
