Guhring satisfies need for feed and speed

  • Guhring satisfies need for feed and speed
Guhring has created an all-new speed and feed table for its family of solid carbide endmills to make the task of selecting appropriate settings easier.

This user-friendly chart is built on two key parameters for machining: surface feet per minute (SFM) and feed rate per tooth (IPT). The feed and speed tables are color-coded for workpiece materials, with a color pattern that mirrors the material coding system in the Guhring Carbide End Mill catalog. This consistent system helps users to select the optimal endmill for the application.

The speed/feed tables also specify the type of cut involved, ensuring that you have the best starting points for slotting, roughing or finish milling. (The next Guhring Carbide End Mill catalogue will see the addition of trace or copy milling running parameters.)

Tables can be downloaded from www.guhring.com.
