  • GF AgieCharmilles to host seminar on micro-machining
EDM and Milling machine tool specialist, GF AgieCharmilles, in conjunction with The University of Manchester and a number of technical partners (Microsystems UK, Rolls-Royce, Rainford Precision Machines, Teer Coatings and WLR Prototype Engineers), will be hosting a half-day 'ELMACT' dissemination seminar on micro-machining at its Coventry facility on 9 September 2010 (10.00 - 2.00pm).

ELMACT, which stands for 'Extended Life Micro-tooling by Advanced Coating Technology', follows the completion of a 3 year research project into micro-machining and, specifically, on the use of high-precision micro-tooling and different cutting tool coatings for micro-milling and micro-drilling applications.
