Geo Kingsbury acquires Turbex

  • Geo Kingsbury acquires Turbex
Gosport-based Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools has acquired Alton, Hampshire-based Turbex Ltd.

Turbex specialises in spray wash and ultrasonic machines for cleaning components weighing from a few grammes up to 75 tonnes.

Managing director John Huntingdon and the entire workforce remain in place at the head office and technology centre, allowing the company to continue operating as before, except under new ownership.

“The Turbex range complements the Dürr Ecoclean industrial washing machines that we sell in UK under a sole agency agreement with the German manufacturer," explained Richard Kingsbury, managing director of Geo Kingsbury Machine Tools.

“Turbex offers water-based cleaning solutions to an extremely wide customer base that have been hitherto inaccessible to the Dürr portfolio. Across the two product lines, we now provide cleaning equipment that is able to satisfy the vast majority of demands from the market.”

Both Turbex and Geo Kingsbury will be exhibiting at the forthcoming MACH 2008 show.
