Filtermist export success recognised

Bridgnorth-based oil mist extractor manufacturer Filtermist International has won the 'International Trade through Export' category at the Shropshire Business Awards 2012, held last month.

Filtermist manufactures and supplies oil mist extraction equipment to more than 50 countries through its 35 distributors world-wide. With over 150,000 units in daily operation across the globe, this latest award follows the Queens Award for Export Achievement, which Filtermist won in 1990.

James Stansfield, Filtermist managing director, said: "Filtermist recognised the crucial role a clear export strategy could play in its success, and continued, careful planning has resulted in export sales that have outperformed all market expectations."

Filtermist recently invested in new factory facilities at its UK Headquarters in Shropshire, thanks to increased demand from export sales. The investment aims to speed up the production process to ensure Filtermist can fulfill international orders on much shorter lead times.

"Filtermist is represented in countries as far afield as Brazil, China and South Africa. We continue to work closely with our international partners to build on Filtermist's existing reputation as a worldwide market leader and aim to further increase our global presence over future years," Mr Stansfield concluded.
