Fagor Arrasate and KUKA in press automation tie-up

Spanish press specialist Fagor Arrasate has signed an exclusive agreement with German robot maker KUKA Systems.

The agreement covers the development innovative automation systems for press lines and was announced last month at the BlechExpo Trade Fair, held in Stuttgart.

KUKA is the world's third-largest robot manufacturing company, while Fagor Arrasate is described as one of the world's leading companies in the design and supply of mechanical and hydraulic presses.

The alliance is two-fold: technical collaboration between KUKA and Fagor for innovation in press-to-press part transfer systems; and a business relationship that has taken its first step forward with the joint exhibition of the two companies at the BlechExpo Trade Fair, Stuttgart, last month.
