Endoline launches robotics company under FANUC strategic partnership

In a bid to meet the growing demand for fully automated end-of-line systems, which increasingly require robotic solutions, Endoline Machinery has launched a sister company – Endoline Robotics Ltd (ERL) – and formed a strategic partnership with FANUC UK.

The move reinforces Endoline’s expertise as a provider of case erecting and sealing automation and, through the strength of the FANUC brand, will now manage the installation of robotic palletising systems under the umbrella of ERL.

While overseen by Endoline Machinery’s management team, headed up by managing director Andrew Yates, ERL will be driven by director of sales Grigory Belosky, who was formerly Endoline’s international sales manager.

“Through our relationship with leading global food manufacturers we’ve become increasingly aware of the demand for robotic integration, particularly as companies move away from using manual labour,” says Yates. “The decision to partner with FANUC, and launch a sister company dedicated to robotic palletising equipment, illustrates a progressive period in our almost 40-year history. Although we’ve developed the company and built up a solid export business, we’re committed to the UK and creating solutions which directly meet customer needs.”

The newly formed ERL, which will project manage the supply and installation of FANUC robotic palletising systems, will be launched officially at the forthcoming PPMA Total Show (1-3 October, Birmingham NEC) where, for the first time, Endoline will have two stands, side by side.

Andrew Armstrong, sales and marketing manager at FANUC UK, says: “The automation of end-of-line palletising systems represents a major growth area for British industry, with robots perfectly poised to take the strain of monotonous and repetitive tasks off human workers, releasing their time to complete more value-added tasks.

“We’ve had a fruitful working relationship with Endoline for a number of years and are looking forward to sharing our expertise of automating end-of-line systems with one of the sector’s leading OEMs,” he continues. “ERL is set to join up the dots and potentially change the perceptions of automation in this field for good.”

At PPMA, ERL will be showcasing a fully automatic system for the palletising and de-palletising plastic crates. The system will incorporate a 6-axis FANUC M-710iC industrial robot, and the plastic crates will be in various sizes and colours to demonstrate the ability to manage mixed pallets.

ERL will be on Stand H120 at PPMA, and will also be exhibiting at the Manufacturing Automation and Digital Transformation FANUC open house event on 29-31 October.
