Delcam partners with DMG in China to support local mould tool makers

Around 300 attendees participated in the ceremony, where Delcam was represented by South China regional manager, Ms. Suki Lihua Huang, and sales manager of Delcam Hong Kong, Mr. William Lei Yu, plus the general manager of reseller Guangzhou Dekang, Mr. Gu Yumin. Currently, China is the third biggest mould manufacturing country, and around 40 per cent of its moulds produced in Guangdong Province. This makes the region one of major importance to Delcam’s business in the country. “We believe that, with the close collaboration between the local Delcam offices and the new DMG showroom in Guangdong, we can serve local manufactures better, help our clients improve their efficiency and increase their profitability,” said Ms. Huang. Engineers from Delcam’s Shenzhen office worked closely with DMG staff to prepare demonstrations for the opening event, including one for the DMU 60, the most popular of all DMG machines in South China. The Delcam engineer designed a mould of a mobile phone shell and prepared toolpaths to cut the model with the PowerMILL CAM system.
