Delcam highlights latest software at Productivity Partnerships
Delcam will demonstrate the latest versions of its PowerMILL CAM system and its PowerINSPECT inspection software at the 2006 Productivity Partnerships event to be held at the 600 Centre from 14 to 16 November.
PowerMILL is firmly established as the world’s leading CAM system, especially for high-speed machining and 5-axis machining, while PowerINSPECT is the world’s leading hardware-independent inspection software, claims Delcam.
The latest release of PowerMILL incorporates even more 5-axis machining techniques, together with faster calculation times and easier data management, to ensure both rapid toolpath generation and optimum performance on the machine tool.
In addition, PowerMILL can now generate a 5-axis equivalent of any 3-axis toolpath. This might be necessary when a 3-axis approach is being used for most of a job but where some 5-axis moves might be needed to avoid an obstacle or to machine as closely as possible to a steep face.
