  • Dawson Shanahan appoints new commercial director Jeff Kiernan
Dawson Shanahan, a manufacturer of cold formed and precision machined components, has announced the appointment of Jeff Kiernan to the position of commercial director for its global operations.

Mr Kiernan has been with Dawson Shanahan for eight years, originally joining as operations manager before taking on the role of commercial manager. As a graduate engineer with management qualifications, he has a proven background in production engineering and quality control. His experience in the sector spans over 30 years, including production, technical and senior management positions for leading multinational organisations.

For Dawson Shanahan, the promotion of Mr Kiernan forms part of an ongoing programme to develop the company as the leading global specialist in cold forming and precision machining. Mr Kiernan commented, "With over 60 years in business, Dawson Shanahan is widely recognised for its innovative and often pioneering use and development of cold forming and precision engineering processes. From our roots as a provider of high precision components for the automotive and aerospace sectors, we've steadily built a solid business, designing and manufacturing both parts and complete assemblies for customers throughout industry."

Managing director, Les Reeves adds: "We're delighted to welcome Jeff to the board of directors, where he'll play a key role in helping us grow our sales, both in the UK and, most importantly, in export markets, which represent a rapidly growing opportunity for Dawson Shanahan."
