Complex rotary transfer machine gives animated display
Mikron Machining Technology's NRG-50, a complex rotary transfer machine, can be seen in action via a CD-based simulation.
‘One-hit’, single cycle machining involving up to 140 CNC axes and 30 tools simultaneously in cut on the latest NRG-50 12-station rotary transfer machine from Mikron Machining Technology of Agno, Switzerland is depicted in a fully animated, computer-generated production cycle.
The rendered images available on CD depict a production cycle on what is regarded as the most advanced machine tool of its type in the world. It demonstrates robotic loading, 5-axis interpolation, six-face machining, multi-diameter turning from bar, spiral milling and threading, deep hole drilling, multi-spindle drilling and tool changing and in-cycle deburring.
A free copy of the CD is available from the marketing department of Mikron Machining Technology.
