Change of management at Taegutec UK

  • Change of management at Taegutec UK
Ronnie O’Byrne is to leave cutting tool supplier TaeguTec UK of Wetherby to head up operations at Iscar Canada, like TaeguTec, a member of the IMC group of companies.

Mr O'Byrne was responsible for setting up TaeguTec UK in 2000 and started alone with blank sheet of paper, a car and mobile phone. Six years later and he has built a strong and close knit team. Working with an established network of distributors, the UK operation has been turned into a multi-million pound business. With an average year on year growth rate of 40 per cent, the company has built a strong foothold in the UK cutting tool industry.

Replacing Mr O'Byrne at the helm of TaeguTec UK will be the current and longstanding sales managers John Conlon (left) and Alan Powell (right).
