Bruderer beat the recession with diversified metalforming

  • Bruderer beat the recession with diversified metalforming
Bruderer UK has reported a higher than expected level of business during the recession and kept its trading figures in the black, throughout 2009.

Primarily known for their range of high-speed mechanical presses, Bruderer UK have been diversifying into the supply of other metal stamping-related equipment, as well as, the rebuild and refurbishment to factory standards of pre-owned machines.

"Considering the difficult trading conditions, we are very pleased to have made a profit in 2009."

"Regarding this year, if the enquiries we already have for 2010 materialise, our turnover will exceed our expectations against a backdrop of a shrinking manufacturing base in the UK and an endemic short-term outlook on finance."

"Our success is a result of selling a wide variety of ancillary equipment for automating all press lines, not just our own. Half of our turnover last year came from this side of the business, helped in part by keen pricing" says Adrian Haller, managing director of Bruderer UK.

This year will see a further expansion of the company's product range with the impending announcement, in the run-up to MACH 2010, of three additional agency lines. One will introduce press brakes, guillotine shears and plasma profiling machines, a second will cover the supply of press brake tooling and a third will add laser and inkjet marking systems.

Bruderer UK has also launched a new web site for 2010, to showcase the range of equipment and services it now offers.
