Bore gauges and more, from Bowers Metrology Group at MACH 2010

  • Bore gauges and more, from Bowers Metrology Group at MACH 2010
The Bowers Metrology Group is approaching the forthcoming MACH exhibition with eager anticipation, as it will be showing its largest range of new instruments ever.

The XTL Lever range of bore gauges has a simple ergonomic action and can be fitted with a wide variety of analogue and digital indicators, or transducer probes. The gauges boast hardwearing extended travel carbide measuring anvils and are able to measure diameters of up to 300 mm. Bowers is also able to manufacture affordable 'one-off' XT Lever instruments to cater for a wide range of other problematic, internal measuring applications, such as threads, grooves, splines, etc.

Making an exhibition debut, Bowers' XT500, has expanded the company's 3-point, bore gauging capability from 300 mm to 500 mm. More information on the XT500 can be found in the products section here.

Bowers' material testing arm, CV Instruments, will be showing a range of Eseway bench hardness testers and portable testers for the measurement of hardness, surface finish, vibration and coating thickness. CV's bench hardness tester range has been further expanded and now offers basic analogue Rockwell testers, through to in-line universal testing machines.

Bowers are exclusive UK distributors for Swiss manufacturers Trimos, Sylvac and Wyler. On display will be the Trimos Optima tool presetting range, featuring facilities normally associated with so called 'high-end systems', at a price affordable to most general engineering companies.

Moore & Wright and new group member Baty International, designers and manufacturers of optical-based measuring instruments and gauging products, will also be on the Bowers stand, 5510, in hall 5.
