Another purchase for Mikron Group

  • Another purchase for Mikron Group
The Mikron Group, the Swiss specialist in the production of machining and assembly systems, is to acquire the Singapore-based company Integral Systems Pte Ltd.

The Mikron Group includes Mikron Machining Technology, headquartered in Agno, Ticino, Switzerland, and Mikron Assembly Technology division, headquartered in Boudry, Switzerland.

Through the acquisition of Integral Systems, the Mikron Group will establish a permanent presence on the Asian market. Integral Systems has been manufacturing custom-built automation equipment for clients including the automotive and electronics industries since 1997. The company employs 35 people.

The Mikron Group recently acquired Namco SA, a Caslano/Tichino, Switzerland; a maker of customer-specific transfer machines. This acquisition was a complement to the Group’s Machining Technology division activities.

Following the acquisition of Integral Systems, the Mikron Technology Group will employ around 1,000 people through 12 companies in five countries around the world. The Group posted sales of CHF122.3 million (£50 million) in the first half of this year.
