ANCA grinding solutions and simulation at MACH 2010

  • ANCA grinding solutions and simulation at MACH 2010
ANCA expect high levels of interest in their advanced MX7 grinding machine at MACH 2010. With the ability to manufacture a variety of tools up to 16 mm diameter, ANCA's CNC grinder is specifically designed to meet the demanding needs of tool production facilities.

The MX7 offers high-output for production houses and rapid changeovers to accommodate smaller batch sizes, and enhanced flexibility, including a ten-second wheel and tool changeover capability, to support lean manufacturing principles.

The MX7's permanent-magnet spindle produces superior performance across the entire spindle working range, operating at a maximum of 10,000 rpm, with a spindle power rating of 20 kW (S1). Further aiding precision less heat is generated, due to a lower current draw, and therefore less expansion takes place. The MX7's higher torque at lower RPM characteristics are particularly suited to efficient carbide grinding.

Also on display will be ANCA's CIMulator3D, Version 6. Previous users of CIMulator3D will be familiar with the many features offered on the latest software release, such as tool measurement, cross sectional viewing of tools, wheel collision detection and complete machine model simulation.

Version 6 of CIMulator3D has been upgraded with several advanced features that will further improve the efficiency, flexibility and overall performance of the grinding simulation process, including the capability to export the simulated tool in STEP formats AP203, AP214 and IGES. Customers will be able to export directly from CIMulator3D quickly and easily into another CAD package, as STEP and IGES are widely used formats for CAD data transfer.
