Acu-Rite digital readout display at MACH 2010

  • Acu-Rite digital readout display at MACH 2010
The Acu-Rite display at MACH will be focusing on the capabilities and benefits of its Vue, 200S and 300S DRO systems, as well as, the MillPwr CNC plus the SENC 150 and SENC 50 scales.

The Acu-Rite Vue one- to three-axis digital readout is an entry-level DRO system displaying full text on a LCD display, with standard functionality including job clock, feed rate display, absolute/incremental, near-zero warning, 16 tool offsets/diameters, preset and zero reset, trigonometry calculator and instant inch/millimetre conversion.

The Acu-Rite 200S DRO can be quickly and easily configured for two- or three-axis milling, turning or grinding applications and thus eliminates time and cost often associated with the selection and installation of multiple application-specific DROs.

The Acu-Rite 300S DRO two- to four-axis DRO has a colour screen, with extensive I/O capability and encoder inputs for four independent axes, capable of storing up to 1,000 blocks of information, the system accommodates data for 16 tools and 10 sub-datums, and also includes automatic trigonometry calculations.

Acu-Rite's SENC 150 precision glass scale technology is based on the use of reflective (rather than transmittive) light for measurement and a reader head mounted on its top face. The result is a high-precision scale, with resolutions of 0.5, 1 and 5 microns, that is highly resistant to machine inaccuracies and vibration.

SENC 150 is available in lengths of 50 mm to 3.4 m, features Acu-Rite's exclusive Position-Trac functionality that allows operators to accurately and quickly re-establish workpiece zero, from any position, after a power interruption. Once power is restored, the DRO reads a line pattern on the glass scale to recall the last known zero.

Also on show, the slimline SENC 50 precision glass scale offers resolutions of 0.5, 1 and 5 microns, available in lengths of 0.025 m to 0.5 m.

The Acu-Rite display will also showcase the intuitive two-/three-axis MillPwr CNC which is a conversational system, requiring no previous CNC experience, which can be used either as a full-function DRO, or as a programmable CNC.
