Keeping it clean

H+S Aviation eliminated the use of trichloroethylene (Trike) in 2004 which in turn reduced the use of solvents by 55 per cent at its workshop facilities in Portsmouth. The benefits have been a reduction in solvents to atmosphere, reduction in hazardous waste disposal, reduction in transportation, the removal of a class 2 carcinogen (which means it may cause cancer), a cleaner working environment and a safer workplace. This has been achieved by installing six aqueous Turbex multi-stage cleaning machines
