Clarification on composites

GKN Aerospace has set a target to become one of the world’s top three tier 1 aerostructures businesses, and is also “dedicated to being first in the efficient manufacture of large composite structures”, says the company’s Philip Grainger, technical director and chief technologist, based at the company’s Isle of Wight facility, which is leading the company’s charge towards a ‘plastic’ plane future.
