Bandsaw benefits multiplied

Sawing is by far the most popular method of cutting up material into blanks for subsequent machining. While circular saws offer advantages in certain areas, it is the bandsaw which tends to dominate the bulk of such cutting off tasks. The widespread appeal of the bandsaw (both straight and mitre cutting versions) is down to its all-round performance, lower cost and ability to cut all material types and sizes. Modern bandsaws will provide a quality finish on most materials, precise cut-to-length accuracies and can usually handle bundle-cutting tasks. Combined with various control and material feed options, such machines offer good productivity combined with low cost-per-cut rates
