Tools leave their mark, efficiently May 2007

part marking, mechanical marking tools Zeus MC1, MR1, MRS1 marking tools are designed for the marking of turned and milled parts directly on CNC turning centres and machining centres. The Zeus tooling delivers an average cost saving of 12 per cent per piece, but if the marking tool is applied during idle time, further cost savings can be realised.

The Zeus product programme for turned parts includes tooling for continuous roll marking (MC1 series) and the MR1 and MRS1 series that work on an integrated torsion spring that is capable of marking different workpiece diameters with the same tool.

For the marking of production dates and other vital information, the MRS1 series enables the user to easily exchange the individual segments (i.e letters, signs, numbers). This significantly reduces the cost of the Zeus range as well as further improving productivity with the ability to change small elements of the tool.
