The low-cost Merlin 300 2-axis video measurement system offers superb accuracy with little training required, allowing users to virtually ‘plug and play’.
The high performance, low cost package includes a dedicated Quadra-Chek 300 (QC300) video microprocessor offering modern touch-screen technology with Video Edge Detection (VED) for fast, higher throughput measurements, ideal for batch routines or measurements of form features.
Merlin 300 also allows for operators to benefit from a unique contrast teach facility enabling the operator to easily determine the component edge. Additionally, the QC300 is equipped with the capabilities for automated point data capture with full PC connectivity.The sophisticated compact unit optimises the use of a high resolution CCD and high numerical aperture objective lenses which in turn minimises the requirement of high intensity illumination.
Illumination is provided by dimmable LEDs for both surface and substage, which is hugely economical to run and lasts for up to 10,000 hours.The Merlin 300 utilises a 150 x 100 mm (6 by 4 in) x-y measuring stage which is robust and yet requires little effort to manoeuvre due to the mechanically smooth operation of the system.
