Hardinge finishes well up the order at Autosport 02/02/2007

Machine tool and workholding specialist Hardinge Machine Tools had an Autosport Show to remember, taking orders to the value of £350,000.

"We put a lot of effort into the Autosport Show and our objective was to make it relevant and worthwhile to the Industry," says David Andrew, sales and marketing director at Hardinge. "This investment in time and resources has paid dividends. Over the two days we took machine tool orders worth over £350,000 – and generated well over 50 serious sales enquiries that we’re actively following up. It’s confirmation that for manufacturers involved in motor sport – Hardinge technology is the preferred choice."

Hardinge is a keen supporter of the racing activity, too. "This year we are sponsoring both a Radical SR8 (2.6 litre V8 engine) racing car in the ‘Dunlop Radical Enduro Championship’ and a Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR Superbike which will be competing in the 2007 British Superbike (BSB) Championships," said Mr Andrew.

"We decided to launch the racing car and the bike at Autosport – and, this was made even more spectacular, because Radical Sportscars also used our car…on our Stand to launch the SR8 Championship itself."
