Composites specialist installs CNC router/trimmer 04/01/2007

composites machining, sub-contract composites layup The UK’s largest independent composites assembly company, Brookhouse, has installed a CMS 5-axis CNC router/trimmer at its Darwen, Lancs headquarters.

The installation is one of a series of programmed capital investments intended to help the company meet the increasing global demand for composites components and structures.

The new CMS machine will be used primarily on composite parts for aircraft, which have formerly been routed and trimmed by hand using hard-egded jigs and fixtures.
