Allied Maxcut sales strength gets a boost 04/12/2006
 
cutting tools for metalcutting machine tools Kingswinford-based cutting tool manufacturer Allied Maxcut has extended its technical field sales operations with the appointment of four new regionally based sales engineers.

They will support the company's national distribution network and provide detailed applications engineering expertise. The four are: Darren Young, Glen Downer and Neil Perks, who join the as sales engineers, covering the North, South-East and South West regions, respectively, with Nigel Jackson taking on the role of senior sales engineer with responsibility for the East Midlands and Birmingham.

Collectively, the new sales team possess more than 75 years of direct experience in production manufacturing, tooling, CNC machining and CAD/CAM systems and all are HND or HNC qualified engineers gained within a range of manufacturing environments before holding sales roles with previous employers.

Nigel Jackson previously worked for global integrated tooling supplier Stellram in both sales and application engineering posts, whilst Glen Downer, joins form Horn UK, where from 2003, he was a Technical Sales Engineer involved in all facets of technical product support.

Darren Young also joined from the tooling industry and previously worked as a sales engineer for Titex Tools covering the Northern Counties and Scotland, while Neil Perks sales and 20 years' experience within the sub-contract manufacturing sector provides a range of specialist expertise to the sales team.
