Parallel gripping chuck range expanded November 2006

lathe chucks Kitagawa has extended its DL series chucks to include 6, 8, 10 and 12-inch diameter versions. Claimed to be the world’s first parallel gripping, pull back operation chucks, DL series units are suitable for both ID or OD gripping applications.

Their design ensures minimal interference with the workpiece’s z-axis, making these high accuracy chucks ideal for first and second operation work. DL series units also allow standard serrated top jaws to be used from Kitagawa’s B200 series chuck range, further enhancing the design’s productivity and cost-effectiveness. In addition, the new chucks’ fully sealed, dust-proof configuration make them particularly suitable for high volume automated production environments.
