Okuma & Howa machines to be branded Okuma 03/10/2006

machine tool, Okuma, Okuma & Howa, NCMT All Okuma & Howa machines will in future bear the Okuma logo and livery.

This follows Okuma's taking over of Okuma & Howa in October 2005 – it previously had a minority stake. It was the precursor to the merging under the Okuma Corporation banner of three wholly owned subsidiaries – Okuma Holdings, Okuma & Howa Machinery Ltd and Okuma Engineering Co Ltd (machine tool repair and spares).

This group has assets of nearly ¥160 billion and a turnover that makes it the second largest machine tool manufacturer in the world. NCMT, Coventry is the UK agent for both Okuma and the previous Okuma & Howa brand.
