Collet clamping nut supports full pressure through coolant for small drills September 2006

high pressure through tool coolant, small diameter drills, through coolant for small diameter drills The Rego-Fix ‘Hi-Q / ERMC‘ collet clamping nuts allow users of small diameter through coolant drills, for the first time, to fully exploit their through-coolant advantages to increase component production and tool life.

‘Hi-Q / ERMC‘ allows the tools, typically with shank diameters as small as 3 mm, to be clamped into the commonly used ER 11 collets by means of a sealed collet, thus ensuring that the coolant is fully directed through the drill and into the component.

It will support up to 150 bar ( 2,000 psi) coolant pressure and is pre-balanced for high speed applications, allowing correct RPM for small drill diameters.
