Fanuc control functionality/performance updates April 2006

computer numerical control, machine control, CNC control * Fanuc Series 30i/31i/32i – Learning Control produces superior controllability to rigid tapping, realising higher speed and higher precision;

* Fanuc Turn Mate i – supporting the manual/CNC type lathe, a display unit without a touch panel, and an 8.4 inch colour LCD have become available. In addition, there’s the Sequential Cycle Execution function to enable a sequential operation of multiple cycle machining;

* Fanuc Series 30i/31i/300i/310i-Model A CNCs - 3D collision checking on. On standard CNCs (30i and 31i) objects are defined using simple models. The interference checking is an internal CNC function; no graphical display is generated. On open CNCs (300i and 310i) interference checking generates a 3D animation on the PC screen and object models take the shapes of the actual objects for more realistic checking. Machine tool builders can use any 3D software compatible with the function to design an original interference check;

* Fanuc Series 16i/18i/21i-T Model B - automatic tool nose radius compensation with the CNC determining the offset direction and compensating automatically thus eliminating the G-code to designate the offset direction.
